Overview

ZipBooking (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates zipbooking.co, a booking platform for independent providers such as coaches, therapists, and consultants. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By creating an account or booking through a provider on zipbooking.co, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

We collect three categories of information:

  • Account information. When you sign up as a provider, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. You may also provide a page slug, profile photo, bio, and service details.
  • Booking information. When someone books a session, we collect the booker's name, email, selected time, and any notes they provide. Providers see this information in order to fulfill the booking.
  • Usage and device information. We log IP addresses, browser and device identifiers, referring pages, and actions taken on the site (for example, pages viewed and bookings created) to keep the service secure and improve it.

How we use information

  • To provide the booking service and process payments.
  • To send transactional messages — booking confirmations, reminders, reschedule and cancellation notices, and account-related email.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents, and to enforce our Terms of Service.
  • To debug, measure, and improve the product. Aggregated or de-identified data may be used without restriction.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. When you pay for a booking, your card details go directly to Stripe and are not stored on our servers. We receive a limited set of metadata (e.g. charge ID, amount, last four digits, and country) to display receipts and manage refunds.

Service providers

We share information with service providers who help us run the product, including payment processing (Stripe), transactional email delivery, hosting, and error monitoring. Each provider is contractually limited to using your data for the services they perform for us.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Cookies

We use first-party cookies to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can clear cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will sign you out.

Data retention

We retain account and booking records for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to keep it for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons (for example, payment records retained by Stripe).

Your rights

You may request a copy of your personal data, correct inaccurate data, or ask us to delete your account at any time. Email us at privacy@zipbooking.co. Residents of the EEA, UK, and California have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA, including the right to object to certain processing and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Children

ZipBooking is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and scoped access controls to protect your data. No online service is completely secure, so we also recommend using a strong, unique password for your account.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in-product notice at least 14 days before they take effect. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version.
